What apps do you use for design and edits?

Photoshop across both platforms, but for very minor edits in Windows, http://www.getPaint.NET is absolutely amazing.

Photoshop is the one and only, in my opinion. There are some free software like GIMP & Paint.NET, but I would choose photoshop over them all of the time.

I use Illustrator and Photoshop CS4. Both are great but i recommend
Photoshop !

Wow, I just discovered Google SketchUp. Very nice application for design in 3D.
It's free, so don't expect it to be excellent, but still very nice.

You can do photorealistic renderings straight from SketchUp. http://sketchup.google.com/download/plugins.html

I'm also a fanatic about SketchUp!
