Are you getting the iPad?

There has been a huge amount of talk surrounding Apple's latest creation, the iPad. To put it simply, this device has huge potential. I'm not looking for a flame war or anything like that. You already know how I feel from my videos. You can have that war in another thread if you want to. But for this thread, I'm asking the simple question: Are you getting the iPad?

I know I'll be there on day one! Just like with the iPhone, I really want to experience the iPad from the beginning and watch it evolve. I really can't wait to try out the native apps that will be available at launch. So what are your thoughts?

Well, I have an iPod Touch already, so I don't think I will be getting one. However, I do think that if I did not have an iPod Touch and I could by either an iPod Touch or an iPad, I would go with the iPad. Mainly because of its bigger screen. We will see though. Maybe after it is released and I get my hands on one, I will fall under the Apple spell and get one. Only time will tell. Plus, I think Apple still has a lot to do in order to convince people that the iPad is more than just for decoration.

Yes! i will be buying one! I think the ipad is a great product and it will suit my needs every well. I hope developers can have some pretty apps ready by lunch.

Nope. Too expensive and lots of the features I have no interest in.

However that doesn't mean I don't think it's a great product.

Oh yeah! My finances won't allow me to get one anytime soon after it's release, but rest assured that I will end up with one at some point. Being the geek that I am, of course I'll strive to get the top of the line version... a contract free AT&T plan helps there. First on my list, however, is getting a 27" i7 iMac. That's what I am saving for first. Do I need an iPad? No. Do I want one? Hell to the yeah!

Yes I will be getting the 3G simply because of the upcoming hack that allows you to use skype's 3G server for the iPad. No monthly fees intended.

Yes, two of them. One for me, one for my husband. These things are going to be ideal for our international traveling! Can't wait!

Yep, definitely. Maybe not day 1, but shortly thereafter. It seems to be an awesome device, and I'm sure web browsing will be a blast. Can't wait to try it for myself in an Apple Store.

Seriously thinking about it. I had planned on getting a MacBook Pro, but since I already have an iMac, an iPad would be nice to have for simple web surfing around the house.

I'm really thinking about it, I have the money ready but I'm just not sure I want to dish it out. However Just like David I really want to see this thing evolve and I think the way it works is just great. More than likely I will get it, probably on day one as well but I still might change my mind, Luckily I have a coupe months to think about it.

it depends. This product seems to fit a certain crowd. Me, on the other hand own a mbp and a 3GS it would feel weird to get one. For the price base model it's a good price i don't know why people are complaining about the price? Look at the kindle, $425 just for an ebook reader. iPad, read ibooks, surf the web, apps, and so much more for less than $500 ($499). We will see though i'm sure it will get better no doubt about that, like thecreativeone said, "[the iPad will] evolve."

As for now i don't see me getting one but in the near future, yes!

Im getting the iPad 64gb on release but i think i will get a MiFi instead of the 3g model as then i can use it with my laptop and iPhone.

I definitely would buy the iPad, but I still don't know if Apple will release it here.
Same with the original iPhone. We had to wait till the iPhone 3G

The iPad seams to be one of those devices that you really 100% Don't need, if you have a Laptop and a Smart Phone (Like Me)

But i find that my MacBook is a little too ... Plugged in all the time and its a cow to keep disconnecting and re-connecting all my devices every time i wan't to be with my parents whilst on the internet, and the 3hr battery life is 80% Not enough to do what i wan't to do so i resort to using my iPhone.

I find that the iPhone (As awesome as it is) Isn't as versatile as a laptop is with the internet and as much as i love it, i usually get sick and tired trying to view my website on its itty bitty screen.

So to the question, Yes, i find that the more i look at it, i see more areas in which it could be useful for me, and this would allow me to sell my MacBook to get a MacPro sometime in the future.

Great device but no I'm not I bet it's gonna have alot of glitches when it first come out I might gt the 2 generation only if it has flash player and better fetures I'm interested in

This generation no because I think its a wate of money but when they come out with the next gen, I will because apple always trys to put in the stuff that they dont usually have in the next gen like I would like a faster proccesor because of my graphic design work also I would like a mic so that I could do skype calls.

My dad is actually thinking about getting 10 for his office (He's a podiatrist) since he can run 3 Dimensional xray apps on them just like his iPhone. Hopefully, it'll make it easier on him and his patients to see the details and lead to a quicker diagnosis or solution.

I have changed my mind and so yes I am getting a ipad,, its not really changing my mind I just need one. After I get my macbook in a few months
